Flashback Friday--the 13th edition

So it's Friday the 13th. I was trying to decide if I should post about superstitions or scary movies. On my walk this morning I saw a black cat so superstitions won. I overall am not superstitious--but I do have a weirdness about the number 13. I can't let anything stay on that number or have that amount in it. Its almost automatic--my radio can't stay on volume 13, it either goes up or down one--I know weird. So having said that---are you superstitious. And if you are what is it???

End of Soccer

Soccer season is over. We had a great one. AJ got better at passing and Alex got to play his first season--making quite a few goals. True there aren't goalies but still. Even the weather was nice for the most part. GREAT JOB boys!!!!

Tooth Fairy--give me money!!

For Family Home evening Alex wanted to pull his tooth out. So after the lesson I told him to come see me and I wiggled and pulled out his tooth without him even realizing it. I nudged him and showed him the tooth in my hand and he stuck his tongue in the space and started jumping up and down yelling "I loosed a tooth, I loosed a tooth". Its so exciting for them--gross out to me!!! He hopes the tooth fairy will leave him some money--big brother is filling him in on all the details.

Flashback Friday--Thriller Edition

Let's flashback to the time of Thriller!! I was totally a Michael Jackson fan growing up, now not so much but anyway..... So J comes home the other day and says "Guess who just bought the old Binion house across the street???" None other than Michael. So the last time I was in the neighborhood I did a drive by shooting--photo shooting that is-- of the so called house. These really dont do it jsutice at how enormous the estate is but I was driving by!!! What a "thrill" huh. No worries, I will be on the lookout for monkeys and small boys while I drive thru the hood from now on!! Kindergarten Water Day

Alex had his own version of Field Day---Kindergarten Water Day. It was supposed to be the week before but we had such crazy cold weather they postponed it a week--it was perfect!! His favorite game was Drip Drip Splash--a water version of Duck Duck Goose played with a giant sponge. They all had such a great time!! Fun Fun.

What the ....???

Ok I think there is a conspiracy in the bird kingdom against me. Here I am, trying to mind my own buisness and walk in the morning for some nice exercise and birds are attacking me!! I am not kidding--stop laughing!! Monday at the park I ususally walk, and have been walking for over a month now, a bird totally came up behind and was swaking and flying close by my head--I had to run for my life and cut my walk short! I was freaked out. Visions of the movie Birds were going thru my head. So this morning I was actually a little scared to go back there to walk so I decided to just walk my neighborhood and another freaking bird did the same thing to me!!! I mean what the .....!!!! I was flinching everytime a bird flew over--I know they were laughing at their power over me!! Any ideas or suggestions????? I'm not wearing any shiny objects or special perfumes. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

AJ's Piano Recital

Aj has been taking piano lessons for the past couple months and doing very well at it. This past week he has a chance to show off his stuff at a school talent show where he played a song called "Chimes". He liked it because he got to use the pedal. Then on Saturday he had his spring recital where he played a song called "Finale". The cute thing about that is that he wanted to wear his suit because all meistros wear suits---as he informed me. We are proud of you Aj keep up the hard work.
