Let the Bone Breakin' Begin

Ok so I hope that the title of this post DOES NOT EVER come true! My husband is a little more leary about the trampoline than I am--that's because I grew up with one. And now they make them way more safe--with enclosures. Ours has that too, we are just slowly putting it together. The funny thing is that Alex seemed to have more fun with the box than the actual trampoline last night. (I put that picture here also) Yeah, my kids actually ask to go outside now instead of what movie they can watch. YES!!!

Out With The Old....

We finally did it!! We got new carpet. This has been needed for a LONG time but we were too lazy to move our furniture out so we could get new carpet---but since we decided to move out and then move back we said hey let's get new carpet! I love the smell of new carpet! These pics dont do it justice. I invite anyone who wants to to come over and lie down and sniff the bounties of new carpetdom!!!
Blue is the old (DUH!) and beautiful brownish is the new (DUH again)

AAHHH SPRING!!

Welcome Spring! This is my favorite time of year here, granted it is a little windy on some days but I welcome the warmth it brings. Here is a cute quote about spring and some cute easter pics. "In the spring, at the end of the day you should smell like dirt" (Margaret Atwood)
My boys put truth behind this quote for sure!!

Pizza and Lightsabers

Well it is spring break time here--and the weather could not be more spring-like!! So what else is there to do on days like this than go to the park and enjoy good friends and good times! Here are 5 little monkey sitting on a bench eating pizza on a break from lightsaber deuling. (Those of you who have little boys know the necessity of owning lightsabers!!) How cute!

"Fish"back Friday

So ok, for this weeks installment of flashback friday (fbf) I thought it would be fun to post pictures from past fishing derbies that we have attended. Every year our community hosts this fishing derby where they stock a lake full of fish and let the little ones go at it. There is also prizes that they raffle off from tickets you get from catching fish. We have done this for the past few years and look forward to it every year. (I go for the socializing and doghnuts) Most of the people who attend are from our ward so it is a blast to hang out on a Saturday with great friends. Then later that night we get together and have a potluck fish fry. Good times, good times.

Afternoons with Alex

This is a typical afternoon with my little Alex. He comes home from Kinder ready to eat lunch, then quietly entertains himself until it is time to get brother. Today he played with bubbles he found in his fishing derby goodie bag (more on that to follow), found a moustache sticker, and played a game of sorry with me. He is funny to play games with, makes up his own rules where MAGICALLY he always wins, then says oh good try but I WON!! (hurray heee hee hee) I love it when he is in a good mood!! And now he will entertain us with his rendition of "You Give Love A Band-aid" (yes that's how he sings it) Sorry it got cut short due to memory shortage on the camera. Enjoy the little bit anyway!!
